Architect : Ateliers 2/3/4 (Jean Mas)
Surface : 63 000 m² SDP/ 52 levels
Location : Boulevard de la Défense (Nanterre)
A rethought verticality
The idea is to design a tower of more than 63,000 sq.m. with a hotel focus and a wide range of services. A high-capacity programme designed to enhance the international appeal of Paris La Défense while providing the area with an offer that facilitates the hosting of congresses and international conventions, particularly at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre.
With a 200-metre high tower with a redesigned verticality and mixed uses, the tower, designed by architect Jean Mas (Ateliers 234), will house two hotels (Holiday Inn and the Crown Plaza) and a hotel residence (Staybridge Suites) for a total of 730 rooms. It also includes restaurants, shops, wellness areas, a business centre and offices.
This building is made up of 5 staggered blocks that create tree-lined terraces at different heights. This architectural and urban signal will have as its main challenge the creation of urbanity and entertainment during the week, but also in the evenings and on weekends. Its belvedere located at 200 meters above sea level, open to the public, will offer tourists an exceptional panorama of Paris and its historical axis.
