**The Vertigo race is back! The 8th edition will take place on Thursday 12 May 2022 in a new tower of Paris La Défense: the CB21 Tower! This time, there will be no lift but some 977 steps to climb in a short stride. Come and attack the ascent of the new tower of the business district with the first vertical race in France!
With Vertigo, solidarity reaches new heights
Every year since 2013, the Vertigo race has pitted individuals and participating companies against each other in relay races. If it is above all an opportunity to spend a convivial moment around sport, your participation will help the NGO Play International to continue its missions, which has been working all over the world with half a million children since 1999.
As every year, the totality of your participation will be donated to the NGO for the development of its educational programmes through sport. In France (including Mayotte), Burundi and Kosovo, Play International uses sport to address various issues such as gender equality, disability, inter-ethnic dialogue and back to school.
An atypical race
Vertigo is the first vertical and solidarity race in France to be run alone, with friends or with your colleagues. The 2022 concept? Climb the 188 metres, 42 floors and 977 steps of the CB21 Tower! The finish will be on the 41st floor.
Note*: You will have to climb another staircase to reach the roof and enjoy the view.
After the effort, the comfort! Runners will be able to enjoy a festive afterwork open to all in the Vertigo village near the Takis basin. On the programme: solidarity bar (drinks, catering, DJ set, massages, fun sports activities (molkky...), networking area and much more.
A 100% responsible race
Play International is a signatory of the "15 eco-responsible commitments of sports event organisers" charter drawn up by the French Ministry of Sports and WWF, to which 41 event organisers have also signed.
A multi-format race
For individuals, a single format is proposed: climb the entire 42 floors to reach the top and enjoy the panoramic view of all of La Défense and Paris. 4 departure sessions are planned: 5pm, 5:30pm, 8pm or 8:30pm.
For companies, 2 formats are proposed: Vertigo relay with 4 people for 10 floors each (except for the last runner who must climb 12 floors) or VertigALL with 4 people for 42 floors each. 6 start sessions are planned: for Vertigo relay at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm or 7.30pm and for VertigALL at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm or 7.30pm.
Prices
Companies: one-off registration fee of €977 per team, as the 977 steps to climb, i.e. €390 after tax exemption.
Public: create an Alvarum collection page of 42 € minimum, like the 42 steps to climb.
Free of charge
With all contributions reserved for the NGO. Each donation is tax-free up to 60% for companies and 66% for the general public. As soon as your donation is made, a tax receipt is sent directly to you.
Example: a donation of 50 € will only cost you 17 € after tax reduction (33 € reduction up to 20% of taxable income).
