Introduction to baskin and wheelchair soccer on the esplanade, June 11, 2024!

On the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, official supporter Saint-Gobain is organizing an event under the banner of inclusion. Come and take part in discovery and practice sessions for baskin and armchair soccer, on June 11, 2024, on the esplanade at La Défense!

From 9:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., members of the Nanterre Foot Fauteuil and Novosport associations will introduce you to inclusive basketball and wheelchair soccer. Join us on the esplanade, in front of the Esplanade de La Défense metro exit, to try your hand at wheelchair sports!

Sport for all!

Nanterre Foot Fauteuil and Novosport are two Nanterre-based associations dedicated to promoting inclusion and making sport accessible to all. Nanterre Foot Fauteuil was founded in 1999, and for the past 25 years has been organizing, promoting and developing the practice of electric wheelchair soccer, both competitively and as a leisure activity, for any disabled person using an electric wheelchair.

For its part, Novosport, founded in January 2021 by students from Nanterre University, organizes regular sessions to bring people together around sport. The association also works with companies and associations to deconstruct prejudice and organizes inclusive tournaments where everyone, regardless of their situation, can express themselves. Baskin is one of the inclusive sports practiced with Novosport and inspired by basketball, which enables “able-bodied” people and people with disabilities to play and have fun together.
