Take part in the "From plate to planet" conference on 29 September 2023!

The association La Défense des Aliments, in partnership with Paris La Défense, will be holding an online conference on 29 September 2023. Two speakers will spend an hour discussing food waste and the environmental impact of what you eat.

As part of the international day to raise awareness of food loss and waste on 29 September, the "From plate to planet" conference will be hosted by Elisa Jourde, co-founder of the FoodPrint start-up specialising in food decarbonation, and Martine Baruch, President of the association La Défense des Aliments.

The aim of the conference is to provide an understanding of what sustainable food is and what makes it a major ecological, economic and public health issue. The co-founder of FoodPrint and the President of La Défense des Aliments will be talking about food waste and the major issues facing us today. So get your pens ready, and thanks to the ideas and advice provided, you'll have all the tools you need to take action!

Responsible for 24% of France's carbon footprint, food is the 3rd biggest emitter of greenhouse gases on a regional scale, after construction and transport.
