**The Cité de l'Histoire organises weekly conferences entitled "Les Lundis de l'Histoire". On Monday 26 June 2023, the philosophy professor and essayist François-Xavier Bellamy will give a lecture, the last of the season, on the theme "Blaise Pascal, 400 years later".

Monday 26 June 2023 will mark the end of the cycle of lectures organised by the Cité de l'Histoire since its opening. For the occasion, the philosophy professor and essayist François-Xavier Bellamy will give a lecture on one of the most famous French mathematicians and philosophers, Blaise Pascal. Born 400 years ago, this lecture will be an opportunity to combine a historical and philosophical look at his legacy.

A word about the historian

François-Xavier Bellamy is a French professor of philosophy, essayist and politician. In 2013, he initiated the "Soirées de la Philo", fortnightly philosophy conferences open to the general public.
