Nuit blanche 2020 in Paris La Défense
- On October 3, 2020
Good news: despite the context and health constraints, the Nuit Blanche is maintained. The artistic event, emblem of the culture of Greater Paris, will take place on October 3rd and it also takes place at Paris La Défense!
As every year, Greater Paris will become the stage for an exceptional night dedicated to contemporary art. And who says art, says Paris La Défense of course! Nuit Blanche therefore includes in its 2020 programme the Extatiques on the Esplanade and the Groues district in Nanterre.
Les Extatiques: Monumental open-air exhibition
This year, the curator of the exhibition, Fabrice Bousteau, has imagined a new, fun and unusual route called Rien à voir. Visitors are invited to discover 19 artworks, integrated into the urban landscape of Paris La Défense and La Seine Musicale. The exhibition will close in style on 4 October, providing a final opportunity to discover the artworks of Fabrice Hyber, Elsa Sahal, Matteo Nasini, Carlos Cruz-Diez... Visits will be organised from 5pm to 10pm, so come and see for yourself!
La Main 9-3.0, as a prefiguration of Twist, the future citizen space for artistic creation in Nanterre, is associated with the Yes We Camp collective and the urban garden Vive Les Groues. The aim is to offer you an urban and naturalist stroll (continuous departure, from 7pm to 12.30am) to question our relationship with the living whole and the place of the Earth in our imaginations.
The 8 invited artists will display their creations outdoors on a route from the Nanterre-Préfecture station to the Vive Les Groues gardens. The programme includes multimedia installations, immersive experiences, sensory devices, magical meditations, street art interventions, live performances and a bar area throughout the evening.
