Exhibition "From the cry of the heart to the voice of the Righteous" from November 14 to 18, 2022

On the occasion of the commemoration of the mass raids and deportations of the summer of 1942, the Conférence des Evêques de France is organizing an exhibition at the Maison d'Eglise Notre-Dame de Pentecôte near the Parvis La Défense, from November 14 to 18, 2022.

"From the cry of the heart to the voice of the Righteous" pays tribute to the French who have received from the State of Israel the highest civil distinction: Righteous Among the Nations. A title given to men and women who helped in a period when Jews were in danger and threatened with death.

Composed of several panels mixing both well-known personalities and anonymous people who worked for peace, this exhibition, in partnership with the French Yad Vashem Committee, will circulate in several dioceses. The diocese of Nanterre is one of the first to present it.

The objective? To pay tribute but also to raise awareness among young people about this period so that they do not forget.

The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on November 14, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at the Maison d'Eglise Notre-Dame de Pentecôte in the presence of the Rabbi of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Michaël Azoulay, and the Bishop of Nanterre, Monseigneur Matthieu Rougé.
