Maison des Projets des Groues
- From September 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021

**Exhibition "Le quartier de La Folie du 17ème siècle à nos jours", until December 31
Proposed by the Nanterre Historical Society, the exhibition "The La Folie district from the 17th century to the present day" recounts the history of the La Folie district and looks back at the exploitation of the quarries, the industrial and railway activity of the site. The exhibition is on display at the Maison des Projets des Groues until the end of 2021.
**The history of the La Folie neighborhood
Around a strong anchor to a place name, that of La Folie, this area, initially disarticulated, has managed, thanks to its transformation, to become a rich neighborhood, vibrant with multiple projects. Over the years, its influence will become more and more extensive, encompassing the University district, a small part of the République district (the Anatole France housing estate) and the future district of Les Groues. The air force camp would extend to the border of the Papeteries de la Seine, the Petite Folie would come to border the cemetery of the center and, later, the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer Français would name "La Folie" the whole of its installations around the site: railway workshops, training center and goods station. The exhibition retraces these periods, marked by the name of La Folie, through a rich corpus of rare documents and testimonies of the major stages of the district from the 17th century to the present day.
