Illuminations de Noël à Paris La Défense

The spirit of Christmas returns to Paris La Défense. From November 16, 2023, to January 7, 2024, the business district will be decked out in its finest finery to dazzle you with luminous installations on the theme of nature's regeneration and never-before-seen works of art !

The time of illuminations are a magical moment when everyone, from the very young to the very old, can let themselves be carried away by the magic of Christmas. Specially designed and developed for Paris La Défense, they enhance public spaces from the historic axis to the various districts of the area.

On the program ?

A giant Christmas tree near the Agam fountain, light displays, colorful and interactive decorations, lighting of the district's vegetation... and so many beautiful decorations inspired by plants to discover and which integrate perfectly with the sites to offer you the most pleasant stroll!

In keeping with our ecological approach, all the lighting is designed using 100% low-energy LEDs, with adjustable switching times to save energy.

Two luminous works of art

Art will also be on the menu ! Among the illuminations, two brand-new luminous works of art will be presented, in partnership with the Biennale Némo.

  • Hemispheric Frontier by Encor Studio, on the Bassin Takis :
Expect an enigmatic immersive experience that blurs our senses and questions the notion of borders. With neon reflections on the water of the basin, the installation plays with perceptions between clean and murky, light and water, reflections and transparency, encouraging spectators to explore new dimensions of reality.

* Lune Dichroïque by Jérémie Bellot, on the Place Moretti : This is an allegory of how truth and reality can be subjective, depending on the observer and his or her point of view. It reminds us that, just as the moon doesn't emit its own light, but reflects that of the sun, we too are dichroic beings: we transform ourselves in response to our environment and to others.
