**For the past 13 years, Paris La Défense has been taking part in the Atmosphères Festival: four days of exchanges, activities and meetings dedicated to the challenges and solutions of sustainable development. This year, for its 13th edition, the theme of the Atmosphères Festival is the paradox of an era of great technological advances confronted with ecological and social injunctions. The event, which takes place in Courbevoie, is free and open to all !

What is the Atmosphères Festival ?

The Atmosphères Festival is an event dedicated to sustainable development issues and solutions. For 13 years now, it has been committed to questioning the world of tomorrow through cinema, the arts and the sciences, so that it is more sustainable, fairer and in harmony with nature. As the festival's aim is to prepare the future for generations to come, it welcomes a broad cross-generational audience to share knowledge, emotions and experiences.

With almost 15,000 people and 3,000 schoolchildren taking part every year, the Atmosphères festival is a flagship event of the Fête de la Science and the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development (IYBSSD).

This year's programme :

  • More than 20 films in preview: fiction and documentaries
  • Meetings and discussions with film teams and experts
  • Round tables and conferences on social issues, science, biodiversity, etc.
  • Exhibitions and workshops
  • Special evenings: shows, music, etc.
  • New story competitions
  • School trips
  • A trail dedicated to businesses
  • A village with change agents.

A day 100% dedicated to businesses

For the third year running, the festival is offering a day entirely dedicated to organisations, businesses, local authorities, independent institutions, local associations and students. The aim is to involve all stakeholders in the ecological and social transition.

The programme for the day is designed as a journey of immersion into the heart of the transition. The experience is built around discovery, creation, exchange, sharing, stories and science, through film screenings followed by debate, round tables and themed educational workshops. As part of the European Week for Sustainable Development, the day also aims to facilitate meetings and forge links between public and private players, as well as civil society.

The event takes place on Thursday 12 October 2023, from 9am to 7pm, at the Courbevoie events centre.
