"Parties at the court of the Tsars", a conference at the Cité de l'Histoire

Celebrations at the court of the Tsars" is the theme of the December conference at the Cité de l'Histoire. And historian Emmanuel Ducamp will be speaking alongside Franck Ferrand for this special evening on Tuesday 19 December.

On Tuesday 19 December 2023, Franck Ferrand, historian and director of the Cité de l'Histoire, will introduce a new lecture by Emmanuel Ducamp. The historian will be hosting an evening on the theme of "Celebrations at the court of the Tsars". Come and discover or rediscover the coronations of the Tsars, the evenings at the Winter Palace and the biggest parties held at the Russian court from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The lecture will be followed by a discussion and book signing.

A word about the historian

Emmanuel Ducamp is an art historian specialising in Russia in the 17th and 19th centuries. After studying law and art history at Nanterre University, he specialised in Russian architecture and decorative arts. He has contributed to numerous projects and works on the subject.
