Construction of WATT

Jun 1, 2020 - Sep 30, 2020

Structural works have intensified to lead to a very dense activity until the 1st quarter of 2020.

Aware that these sometimes noisy, but nevertheless necessary, works may have caused some inconvenience in the environment of the construction site, we would like to apologize first of all; but above all to inform you that the company LEON GROSSE has adapted its operating methods to limit noise emergences on past and remaining structural works. We therefore reaffirm our commitment to favour noise-reducing machines and methods such as sawing, coring and the use of a coring machine rather than a BRH (where technically possible) while maintaining a sustained activity of structural work.

The epidemic period halted all work from 17 March 2020. The containment period was strictly respected by the construction site, so there was no nuisance for the neighbourhood.

The end of the containment period was synonymous with the resumption of activity, and the construction site resumed. Activity will gradually increase to reach a rate equivalent to that of March (before confinement). We would like to inform you of the progress of the project and of the future planning, as other companies will start to arrive, in particular, the technical contractors.

What's new?

  • The foundation work for the extension is in progress, followed by the phase of nine.

Planning

You will find below a provisional schedule of the coming noise and the areas concerned for the next 3 months:

Please note that the demolition of the last staircase (Staircase 2) will be the next period of inconvenience. For this phase we are doing our utmost to limit the nuisance and use adapted methodologies.
