Transport barometer: follow the evolution of passenger numbers in La Défense stations
The business recovery is progressing every day at Paris La Défense! To help you get to and from the business district safely and avoid peaks in public transport traffic, the Île-de-France Region, Paris La Défense, RATP and SNCF have set up a barometer to measure the number of passengers using La Défense stations. Any alternatives? The district has also developed cycle paths, secure bicycle parking in car parks and created special fares in the car parks of Paris La Défense.
Public transport: choosing the right timetables!
The Île-de-France Region and Paris La Défense have set up this barometer in partnership with RATP and SNCF. It shows the hour-by-hour attendance at La Défense stations and gives you an indication of ridership trends.
The graphs show the average number of passengers arriving at and departing from La Défense stations during the week of July 20th, in green, compared to the situation last week, July 13th, in blue, and to the average reference situation, in grey.
Passenger flows increase slightly (+ 6% compared to the previous week).
Smoothing of arrival and departure times should be the rule. Adapt your timetables and those of your employees to avoid peaks in transport traffic, giving priority to arriving later in the morning and departing earlier or later in the afternoon.
Coming by bike
Since May 18th, you can easily access Paris La Défense, from the Pont de Neuilly, the Boulevard Circulaire Nord and the avenues Gleizes, Prothin, thanks to the development of temporary and secure bicycle paths.
Special offers have been set up for secure bicycle parking in the car parks of Paris La Défense (Centre: 145 spaces / Seasons: 153 spaces / Corolles: 100 spaces) with a monthly subscription at €6 (including tax) until 31/12/2020, and at €60 (including tax) per year.

Coming by car
Paris La Défense has the largest car parks in Europe: nearly 22,000 spaces. Special rates have been set up for companies and individuals.
Offer for private individuals: fixed rate for one day's parking at €15 including tax until 30 June 2020 on oPnGO.
Offer companies: 30% discount on additional subscriptions for companies that wish to take charge of their employees' parking.

A charter to change practices
All these measures are in line with the Charter of reciprocal commitments for the smoothing of peak hours. Fourteen companies in the area have thus committed to promoting other work organisations and encouraging a modal shift towards cycling in particular.
