In case of very cold weather, if she decides to disembark without warning, know that we are ready! Here is an overview of the means implemented to ensure perfect traffic safety.
For many of you (users or professionals), it is imperative to have safe traffic conditions despite the bad weather. This is why, between November 15 and March 15, we are deploying a complete Winter Viability Plan. The objective? To ensure traffic conditions on all access roads and fire routes, at least one lane in each direction for each roadway and on the main footpaths.
To ensure safe traffic conditions in the event of ice or light snow
Paris La Défense stores more than 100 tonnes of road salting flux in advance, spread over approximately 120 strategic areas of the territory. This work is carried out upstream, since an initial preventive treatment is provided to prevent the formation of ice or the adhesion of snow to the ground. Finally, there is the curative treatment, intended to eliminate the slippage of the ground and possibly the accumulation of snow as quickly as possible.
On-call services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Our team is ready to intervene at any time if necessary. Indeed, on-call services, supervised by the Urban Services Department are provided by :
- 12 people and 2 light vehicles for intervention on pedestrian areas;
- 2 heavy goods vehicles equipped to intervene on fire lanes and roads.
Paris La Défense also deploys its services, with two permanent staff members during the week, and two deputies as reinforcements at weekends. You can never be too careful!
