In search of innovation with Le Swave and the Welcome City Lab!

Economic development and tourism are two key sectors in the development of the Hauts-de-Seine. It is therefore quite natural that the department has chosen to join forces and support Le Swave, the leading French innovation platform in the financial sector based in Paris La Défense, and the Welcome City Lab, the first Paris Region incubator dedicated to tourism.

Through this partnership, the Hauts-de-Seine Department is providing financial support of €200,000 to these incubators (€150,000 for Le Swave and €50,000 for the Welcome City Lab). This investment will enable the Department to strengthen its actions in support of start-ups, to become more involved in creating an ecosystem favourable to innovation, to participate in job creation and to contribute to the national and international attractiveness of the region.

On the innovation, innovation and innovation agenda!

  • The Swave

Swave is a programme dedicated to innovation in the financial sector. It encourages experimentation and accelerates the development of young companies trying to find new financial models. Swave is also supported by a battery of major groups, including Société Générale.
In short, Le Swave is an attractiveness tool at the service of the region, which helps to densify the local economic fabric and take advantage of Brexit to attract financial innovation nuggets!

  • The Welcome City Lab

Created in July 2013, the Welcome City Lab has three main objectives:

    • to help young entrepreneurs to succeed in their business project in the tourism, travel and hospitality sector,
    • to accompany the major private players in the sector in their digital transformation and stimulate their capacity for innovation,
    • contribute to strengthening the international tourist attractiveness of the entire "Paris" destination.
In short, the Welcome City Lab offers a range of services to startups and tourism players, helping to develop the urban tourism sector. The Swave and the Welcome City Lab are two Paris Region incubators supported by Paris&Co, the economic development and innovation agency for Paris and the metropolis.
