The Arena vaccinodrome is moving to the Pôle Universitaire Leonard de Vinci.

Due to the resumption of the sports and cultural season at the Paris La Défense Arena, the large vaccination centre, which has been in place at the building since May, is moving to the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci, at least until the end of the year.

3,000 doses targeted per day

As in the Paris La Défense Arena, the vaccine centre at the Pôle Léonard de Vinci can provide up to 3,000 injections of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine per day. The address has changed, but the operation remains the same, with the logistics of the site still being handled by the Red Cross. The vaccination centre, which is overseen by the prefecture and the ARS, relies on the help of the Paris fire brigade and members of Generali-Europ Assistance for the injections.

Results on the scale of the business district

The vaccinodrome, which was transferred from the Paris La Défense Arena to the Pôle Universitaire de Léonard de Vinci, chose to locate in another area of the territory, near the Grande Arche. This choice is intended to continue the important vaccination coverage enjoyed by the business district. In fact, more than 250,000 injections have been administered at Paris La Défense Arena over the last four months, i.e. 10% of the 2 million doses injected in the Hauts-de-Seine department since the launch of the vaccination campaign. The territory thus ranks just behind Paris in the vaccination campaign, with 67% of the population having received a complete vaccination schedule, i.e. more than one million people vaccinated.

Two vaccinodromes in Paris La Défense

The business district can count on its two major vaccination centres, the one at Westfield Les 4 Temps, which has been extended once again until the end of September, and the one at the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci, which will be in operation at least until the end of the year.
