The grouping led by ILEX has won the urban project management contract launched by Paris La Défense. The objective of this new 8-year framework agreement is to complete the western part of the last section of the Seine Arche ZAC in Nanterre.

The Seine Arche ZAC development project was launched by Paris La Défense with the aim of repairing the urban divisions generated by the transport infrastructures. This project will open up the neighbourhoods, create new links, accentuate the landscape character and extend the historical axis towards the Seine. Today, the project is entering its implementation phase with the appointment of the project manager Ilex. Accompanied by the Sathy agency, the agency of landscape architects and urban planners will give concrete form to the vision of urban planning aimed at developing the place of nature and urban comfort. The intervention area will link three sectors of Nanterre.

For the composition of a new urban façade, a square compatible with the future arrival of the T1 tramway will function as a gateway to the University of Paris Nanterre campus. The future development will include a mix of uses, with housing, including a university residence managed by the Crous, business premises and shops, with the possibility for the University of Paris Nanterre to build new buildings. The public spaces will be redesigned to improve the link to Petit Nanterre, and to develop green spaces and soft traffic. In the Anatole France district, Paris La Défense will redevelop the public spaces and reconfigure the heart of the block.

The developments will have three objectives: to strengthen biodiversity by means of a green corridor, to improve accessibility thanks to a pedestrian and cycle link that will cross the district towards the Seine (green path, footbridge, pedestrian ramp), and to become a place for associative activities, whether circus, urban agriculture or cultural events.

Connections will be created for better urban integration with surrounding neighborhoods and the Seine axis. The Parc du Chemin de l'Ile will be extended and the construction of new accommodation will be studied.

Bringing together around thirty urban designers, ILEX is an agency of landscape architects and urban planners developing urban projects and public spaces in dense sites, large parks, and mobility planning. It offers a transversal and participatory approach to the development of urban space, to aim for the greatest benefit for the user and to give pride of place to plants and urban comfort.
