While 6 million people suffer from food insecurity, 10 million tons of food are thrown away or lost every year in France. It is from this alarming observation that "Le Chaînon Manquant" (The Missing Link) was born. The association recovers foodstuffs destined for destruction from restaurant owners in Paris La Défense. It redistributes them to a network of partner associations for same-day consumption, while respecting the cold chain.

Thus, in 2018, more than 160,000 meals were collected and redistributed by the association throughout France, which represents an average of 6,200 meals per month in Paris La Défense.

In short: less waste, more sharing!
