The Skylight project developed by Nexity Résidentiel is located in the town of Puteaux, on the edge of Nanterre and is part of the Jardins de l'Arche area developed by Paris La Défense.

Designed by the Louis Paillard architectural firm, Skylight will contribute to the renewal of Paris La Défense, notably through its architectural innovation and the materials used for its facades: steel, annealed mirror, etc. At its top, a luminous, dynamic and colourful cap is animated in coordination with the public spaces of the Jardins de l'Arche.

The construction of a mixed housing building has created a new urban dynamic on this site with the arrival of students and young households. Due to its height (R+18) and its positioning, this building has been one of the essential elements of the district until now recognized for its tertiary activity.

The 18-storey building comprises :

  • a 168-room student residence owned by Gecina ;
  • a 113-unit residential program, ranging exclusively from studio to 2-room apartments;
  • shops ;
  • leisure facilities;
  • private school

This program meets the environmental criteria RT 2012 EFFINERGIE + and the Habitat et Environnement Profil A standard.

The deed of sale for the housing program was signed on January 30, 2015, and work began in 2015. The first inhabitants settled in the 3rd quarter of 2017.

A word about the architect

After studying furniture at the École Boulle, Louis Paillard obtained his degree in architecture in 1982. He opened his Parisian agency in 2003 and intends to propose unique and ultra-contextual projects.

In 2010, he was nominated for the Équerre d'Argent prize for his project of 119 housing units with a media library in the Seguin ZAC in Boulogne-Billancourt. Specializing in apartment buildings, the fruit of "human architecture", he has produced various works in Paris and its region and Toulouse.

Following a competition organised in 2012, he won the Skylight project.
