Opened in 2022, Okko Hotels is a continuation of the 5 buildings that make up L'archipel and is located at the foot of the Paris La Défense Arena along the Boulevard de La Défense. This 4-star hotel was designed by Danish architects 3XN. With a surface area of 6,300 m², it comprises 184 rooms on 9 floors.
By setting up in Nanterre, Okko Hotels hopes to benefit from the tertiary sector clientele of the surrounding head offices (in particular that of the VINCI group) as well as the public of the nearby Paris La Défense Arena concert hall. A place for living that combines aesthetics and functionality, the hotel includes a vast Club area, a fitness and sauna area, meeting rooms and two terraces. The complex is completed by a restaurant on the ground floor, open to hotel guests and the general public in the area, including customers from nearby offices.
A word about the architect
3XN is a Danish architectural practice responsible for the Palais des Congrès in Nîmes, the Quay Quarter Tower in Sydney and the courthouse in Holstebro. They have won several architectural competitions for the Architects' House in Copenhagen, the Ebeltoft Glass Museum, the Danish Embassy in Berlin (1998) and the Muziekgebouw concert hall in Amsterdam. These last two structures have made a name for themselves on the international architectural scene thanks to their social approach and carefully planned spatial formations.
SRA Architectes is a French architectural practice that has completed a number of major projects, including the First Tower, La Samaritaine, the Maison de la Radio and the Ilot Gaité in Montparnasse. It is also behind a number of projects at La Défense, including the Alto tower, Carpe Diem, Window, the Légende tower and the Areva tower.
