The Gallieni residence takes the form of two buildings. Opposed to a refusal from the Puteaux town hall, it was finally the association of the military families of Seine et Oise that carried out its own residence project. When it was completed in September 1957, the L-shaped building included 65 apartments: 33 three-room apartments, 26 four-room apartments and 6 five-room apartments.

A word about the architect

The Gallieni residence was born of the collaboration of 4 architects and project managers. The architect Marcel Passini, a graduate of the Ecole régionale d'architecture de Rennes, designed a preliminary project for the Toit Populaire.

His work was then taken up by Charles Grosset-Grange, G.Klein and Marchand, who built this building following the codes of the modern movement to which all three belonged.
