The building complex of the Collines NORD de l'Arche is undergoing a renovation of the gables of the facades of all the buildings. The façades of the site, built in 1990 under the direction of the architect Jean-Pierre BUFFI, presented pathologies requiring the repair of the gables. An innovative material, Ultra-High Performance Fibred Concrete, UHPFC, was chosen to replace the initial material.
These characteristics allow for much larger dimensions of façade elements, which makes it possible to modify the initial layout by giving it resolutely modern dimensions, while preserving the architectural intentions of the building. This work is therefore intended to improve the architectural quality of the site.
Procedures of the building site
The work on the facades will be carried out in staggered rows, usually at night from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Indeed, the vibrations on the concrete of the facades generated by the work are not compatible with the activity of the employees during the day. Noise pollution will be of a vibratory nature, and not airborne, so the inconvenience for local residents should be limited. Finally, in order to limit the impact on road traffic as much as possible, our worksite footprint is strictly limited to the neutralization of part of the sidewalk.
