Built in 1975 by architects Jean de Mailly and Robert Zammit, the Ariane Tower is now undergoing a transformation to improve its thermal and energy performance. This transformation process is in line with the objectives of the Paris La Défense business district. In fact, the Ariane transformation project gives pride of place to the reuse of materials and recycling, with the renewal of the façade, the creation of a business centre and the redevelopment of the lobby, for example. It is also part of the ESG and sustainable development approach adopted by its owner and supported by all those involved in the project, while preserving the identity of the Ariane Tower.

The tower's assets highlighted

The thermal renovation is designed to meet the new challenges of the 21st century. It will highlight the main features of the tower, such as its windows, shape, height and concrete structure. Thanks to the replacement of obsolete glazing, the new façade will offer improved natural light transmission and highlight the raw materiality of the base and attic.

Improved use of the tower

The project also involves redesigning the reception areas overlooking the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle. The current entrance pavilion (dismantled and reused) will be rebuilt to offer new services to the tower's occupants, and its external landscaping will be redesigned to improve its use. Interior works will complete the renovation programme, with the creation of meeting rooms and an auditorium to enhance the range of services offered by the Ariane Tower.
