Designed and built in only two years, the Aegean Tower symbolises the entrance to the great heights within the district. It also introduces a new architectural style. The streamlined forms and fully glazed facades give way to more massive compositions borrowed from postmodernism. Glass remains present but its use is tempered by the use of clear stone. This stone is paradoxically reminiscent of the first-generation towers. However, the interior design is quite different. Spans of 10 m, obtained using prestressed alveolar slabs, make it possible to reduce the number of posts in the offices. The offices are also designed to be easily reconfigured.

A word about the architect

It was in 1995 that the Agence Conceptua, born of the association Michel Andrault (1926) - Nicolas Ayoub, joined La Défense. The two architects, one a tenor of the French architectural scene known for having signed several master plans for the business district and the other, co-signatory of the Société Générale towers in 1995, launched their first project: the KPMG building (today Le Belvédère).
They then concentrated on the main buildings of the Faubourg de l'Arche: the Cedar Tower, the Aegean Tower and the Adria Tower.
