The Dauphins are part of a composition dominated by the Gambetta tower and the Maréchal-Leclerc residence, built at the same period. Less designed and weaker than its neighbours, the complex consists of a juxtaposition of four almost identical buildings. Their stepped layout mitigates the mass effect of the complex, whose only distinguishing features are the interplay of intertwined circles on the gables and the layout of the spandrels. The Les Dauphins residence comprises over 200 homes.
A word about the architects
Associated with Robert Delb, Michel Chesneau and Jean Verola sign four buildings in La Défense: Atlantique, Europe, Winterthur and Franklin. The Les Dauphins residence is their only achievement as a duo in its own right.
