Associated with the Nobel Tower, built in a second phase, the Bellini Residence presents an ambitious composition combining a low-rise area of 25,000 sq.m allocated to offices with an apartment building (593 homes).

The main façades are animated by prefabricated panels whose arrangement forms a huge abstract painting. The secondary façades alternate with corridors made up of solids and voids. A layout that will be taken up by Jean Dubuisson for the Bercy-La Rapée operation in Paris.

A word about the architect

First Grand Prix de Rome in 1945, Jean de Mailly (1911-1975) began his career with the reconstruction of the port of Toulon. In charge of the conservation of the Palais de Chaillot, he quickly became one of the emblematic figures of French modernism, combining classical architectural culture with functionalist theses. He exported this concept to La Défense where he was involved in several projects: CNIT, Bellini residence, telephone exchange... In addition to architecture, Jean de Mailly also practices painting.
