Leonardo Delfino (1928-2022), Lieux du corps [Location of the body], polyester composite, painting 1980

This work, made of polyester resin, has been visible in Place de la Coupole since 1983. With its organic forms, it refers to the imaginary, drawing its sources, in particular, from the world of science fiction.

A word about the artist

Born in 1928 in Turin, Leonardo Delfino settled in Paris in 1953, to the great benefit of the city and its region, which would host many of his sculptures. His way of working consists in recovering steel from industrial waste, which he welds before working by moulding in synthetic materials.
