Half Hare - Bordalo II

Half Hare - Bordalo II

Artur Bordalo, dit Bordalo II (b. 1987), Half Hare, recycled materials, 2021

This imposing mural of 4 by 7 meters is entirely composed of recycled materials. Worn motorcycle helmet, plastic pipes, old tire or broken chair ... Bordalo II, used everything he could pick up in the street to give life to this giant rabbit. This work is typical of Bordalo II. Nicknamed trash animals, his beautiful Frankenstein animals are as spectacular as they are militant. They denounce what is killing them: pollution, plastic waste. Through this work, created for Urban Week 2021, the artist denounces the damage of waste and the consequences on biodiversity.
