Cité de l'Histoire

The Cité de l'Histoire opened in January 2023. This unique place offers visitors the chance to travel back in time and history, thanks to innovative technologies. The Cité de l'Histoire covers 6,000 sq. m. in three areas. The first is an immersive tour, called "la clef des siècles". Cutting-edge technologies enable visitors to enjoy a unique sensory and visual experience in the 17 rooms of the tour. The 17 rooms retrace 12 centuries of history.

The Ellipse 360° is a video show on Victor Hugo, projected in an arena. Last but not least, the interactive digital timeline brings together 400 dates, enabling visitors to find out more about some of history's great moments.

At the end of your visit, or simply out of curiosity, you can visit the Cité de l'Histoire store and bookshop. You can also take a lunch break at the Cité de l'Histoire's restaurant.

Opening hours : Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, Thursday and Friday, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
