Bas-relief en cuivre

The artwork

Sought by the RATP for a bas-relief intended to decorate the RER station Grande Arche de La Défense, Maurice Legendre takes the opposite of a format length (3 meters high and 13 meters long) to compose a panorama of abstract forms, readable by a play on materials and surfaces made of sheet copper folded and soldered.

Unlike Boréale bas-relief, located on the wharf opposite, the work mainly focuses on the aspect of vertical elements rather than on their horizontal position.

The work is located at the end of the dock, between lanes 2 and B, the head of the train when the destination is Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
