Discover "Défense d'entrer!" from 3 to 5 February 2023 thanks to Paris Face Cachée!

Cathédrale La Défense

  • From February 3, 2023 to February 5, 2023
Affiche Paris Face Cachée

Paris Face Cachée has given free rein to the imagination of the artists of the Interstices Collective to take over "Cathédrale". From 3 to 5 February 2023, you will be able to discover "Défense d'entrer!" in this mysterious place of the territory.

After an absence of two years, Paris Face Cachée is back for its 10th edition and once again takes up the challenge of making the public become "passe-murailles". Go through the looking glass, take the back roads of an unsuspected, unexplored, surprising and inspiring Greater Paris.

For 72 hours, Paris Face Cachée invites you to experience unique moments in a hundred or so places in Paris and its region. Original adventures imagined especially for the event, in places that are usually inaccessible. Participants will be able to choose an adventure thanks to an evocative title and an enigmatic summary. The meeting place will only be revealed after registration, on the ticket. And a little teasing... Paris La Défense opens its doors to Paris Face Cachée to offer the event "Défense d'entrer !

No Entry" on the territory

A deserted "cathedral", which has become mythical for the "emptiness" of its basements, never developed since its construction in 1960. A sleeping immensity that was only waiting for the right moment to come out of its torpor and that moment has arrived. For the first time, you are given the opportunity to dive into this space of the world upside down, into its entrails, to discover the works of the artists of the Interstices Collective.

For Paris Face Cachée, Interstices explored spaces created by human activity, then abandoned. They have thus imagined an immersive Photo / Street Art journey, based on the expression of different artistic practices: photography, graffiti & street art, light painting, installations and video projections. A journey of exploration from light to shadow, or from shadow to light.

More about the Interstices Collective

The Interstices Collective is a group of artists from the alternative culture, whose aim is to pool their know-how and multidisciplinary artistic backgrounds; to share and highlight their common passion for human constructions, the little-known or invisible parts of the heritage; to show the Interstices of the urban world with different viewpoints, whether they are documentary or dreamlike, in order to rediscover the world outside of the marked out paths of everyday life
